This tool makes it easy to select closed contours. Click an object of the contour and the whole contour gets selected. If the object you click is already selected, the contour gets deselected.

  11.5  Deselecting Rectangular Areas

Click the two corners of the area. All objects which are completely inside the area get deselected.

  11.6  Selecting Rectangular Areas

  11.9  Inverting The Selection

This will invert the current selection.

  11.10  Selecting Layers

Click to select whole layers. The layer of the object you click gets selected. If the object you click is already selected, the layer gets deselected.

  11.11  Selecting Double Objects

This selects all objects which exist twice in the drawing. You can use this function to delete double objects from the drawing. If a line goes from point A to point B and another from point B to point A, one line gets selected.
